Goalkeeper Craig Gordon claimed his highest score of the season in The Actim Index, the official player ratings system of the Barclays Premier League, after helping Sunderland to a 1-0 win at Aston Villa.
The Scotland international kept a clean sheet making 10 saves as the Black Cats registered their first victory away from home in the league this season to move four points clear of the relegation zone.
Gordon`s season-high score of 23 was the joint-best total for a goalkeeper this week – tied with Blackburn Rovers` Brad Friedel – and it moved him 12 places to 97th in the Index with 258 points.
He is the only Sunderland player in the top 100, striker Kenwyne Jones (210 points) the next highest in 145th place.
