Sunderland fans are still waiting on the clubs first purchases of the January window but they shouldn’t have too much longer to wait.

Stephane Sessegnon of PSG and Sulley Muntari of Inter are just waiting for the paperwork to be completed before they can finally don the red and white stripes.

The two midfielders arrival will be major coup for the club and are looking like the ‘next level’ signings we have been looking for.
Sessegnon seems to be the most likely player to agree terms over the weekend but Muntari’s wages may be a stumbling block. The former Portsmouth player is thought to be a high earner at the Italian club.
