Dick Advocaat may be at Sunderland next season, the Sunderland manager admitted.

The Mirror reports that even though it has been a frustrating start to the season for the Dutchman, at the moment staying on for another season cannot be ruled out.

The reason the former Holland boss is here now is because he decided to put off retirement for another year after saving the club from the drop into the Championship at the end of last season.

The 67 year old said to the Mirror: “I`m not allowed to say I want to stay, I don`t want to talk about myself. Let`s wait and see.

He continued: “We still have a year to go and, hopefully, we can make some small steps in that time. Let`s wait until the end of the season, but I don`t rule it out, you never know.”
