Dick Advocaat has not finished looking for new signings, he has now revealed that he could do with a couple of players who will slot straight into the side to boost chances of making something of this season.

The Sunderland Chronicle Website reports that Advocaat is still on the look out for fresh blood even though he has already signed Sebastian Coates, Jeremain Lens, Younes Kaboul, Adam Matthews and Yann M`Vila.

The targets are being kept close to the bosses chest, but he will be working hard to add to his squad before the end of the summer transfer deadline.

But there is need for another striker and an attacking midfielder after the failure to sign Leroy Fer after he failed a medical at the club earlier this week.

Advocaat told the paper: “We`ve brought some players in, but we still hope at the end of the transfer window, to have one or two more.

“I don`t want to discuss positions, but we still need one or two players for the team, not for the bench.”

  • Looking forward to the Leicester game, should show slightly what kind of season we are in for. We’ll know for sure after the first three.
