The Daily Mail reported today that Manchester United and England midfielder Michael Carrick is on Steve Bruce’s radar.

Carrick, 28, found it hard to settle into Manchester United’s team last season and he could be the perfect replacement for Lorki Cana leaving for Galatasary.

Bruce is looking to submit an offer of £7m towards Alex Ferguson and maybe include captaincy in the terms of his contract.

The Newcastle-born midfielder may see this as an attractive proposition to regain his confidence and try and break back into the England set up under Fabio Cappello.

  • SFC Forever says:

It could be a good move as he has apparently dropped down the pecking order at United. Steve looks like a manager who can get the best out of his players as well. From outside anyway that is.

Until Harry “steal every Sunderland linked player ever” Redknapp steps in of course

Brucie has said he’s not in for Carrick
