‘Busy Week’ Ahead

After today`s demoralising loss at the hands of newly-promoted West Brom, most Sunderland fans are looking at our squad and wondering whether we have enough to progress this year.

We seem to have spent very little money this season, despite raking in at least £10million for Kenwyne Jones, Daryll Murphy and Lorik Cana. Our new signings themselves have thus far not had much of an impact, although it is still early days.

We won`t miss Murphy, but Cana and Jones were huge parts of the first team last season, and have been replaced with Riveros and Welbeck. A young and inexperienced forward, and a player who has never played in the Premiership.

After failing to beat two teams that we should have to complete a poor start to the season, perhaps we need one more signing. Bruce has said that he wants one more striker, but nothing has surfaced so far. Ghana`s World Cup star Asamoah Gyan has been mentioned, but again he would be someone with no experience in England.

It is definitely time for Bruce to pull out a gem of a signing like he did for Wigan. The team lacked spark against West Brom and created very little.

Frazer Campbell is wasted in midfield and if you count pre-season he is our most in-form striker. We seem bare on the wings and perhaps we should be looking for someone to create from wide areas.

Any suggestions Vital members?

N’zobia would fit the bill. The way he played for Wigan yesterday suggests he doesn’t want to be there.

Campbells a ok wide player but we have a strong team that could potentially take on the best of the division the only thing missing is passion. Watching the West Brom game it was plan as day that it wasn’t a team playing but a mix of footballers who get payed a lot no teamwork or passion for the badge. I can remember back to the days of Michael Gray and Andy Melville and Naill himself players who were there and fought with passion deserving of the club not about the money but the fans my fondest memory was away at Everton we were beat 1-0 yet Quinny came over and apologised to all of us away fans in person yet this crop wont even publicly apologise all we get is Bruce after every match saying it was poor but we improved in the second half and all he por fans who forked out a couple of quid go home upset and feeling robbed again and it has to stop or the ruce out vioces will get louder.
