Burnley back in for Gray…

Rumours are rife in Burnley that Sunderland striker Andy Gray is set to be unveiled as their new loan signing.

It was originally believed that Gray was set for a return to former club Leeds having been left out of Sunderland’s reserve squad on Tuesday, however, as reported first here at burnley.vitalfootball.co.uk, it seems Turf Moor is more likely to be his destination after all.

Burnley have won only once since boxing day and ex-Sunderland assistant boss Steve Cotteril will be hoping the signing of Gray can give his side a badly needed boost for the remaining games of the season.

Whether this will eventually materialise into a permanent move during the summer remains to be seen but one thing is for certain, Sunderland have no use for the former Sheffield United striker for the rest of this disastrous campaign.
