Sunderland have completed the signing of Will Buckley from Brighton at a fee of £2.5 million.

The 24 year old comes to the Stadium of Light on a three year deal where he will play once again under his old boss Gus Poyet.

Buckley went to Brighton from Watford and became a legend at the Amex Stadium when he came off the bench to score two goals in stoppage time which sealed a 2-1 win against Doncaster the first night the Amex was open.

Buckley also scored a memorable FA Cup goal to knock out Newcastle United at the Amex, which makes him an instant hero on Wearside.

Brighton chairman Tony Bloom said: ‘Will gave us some great moments during his time with the club and I would like to thank him for his efforts in his time with us and wish him well for the future.’
