As expected, former Sunderland boss Steve Bruce has been appointed as Hull City manager.

The former Black Cats boss was sacked last November and replaced by Martin O’Neill.

Bruce has been out the game since and was offered the Tiger’s job earlier in the week.

The Allam family who own Hull City had sacked previous boss Nicky Barmby after comments he made in the media after the 2012/13 season budget.

Formerly of Wigan Athletic (twice), Crystal Palace, Sheffield United, Birmingham City and Huddersfield Town, Bruce will be formally unveiled this afternoon at a press conference, having agreed a three-year contract at the KC Stadium.

Hull finished in eighth place in last season’s n.Power Championship standings.

Good luck Steve.
