Bring on the Season!

At the end of last season I was ready for a break, football fatigue possibly after watching hundreds of football matches and 20+ trips to the SoL. Now, maybe due to England’s abysmal exit in South Africa or a rather lacklustre World Cup in general, I am now looking forward to Premier League season 2010/11.

New season
A good season last year but with a slight tinge of disappointment that we didn’t make the top 10 and didn’t push for a cup run. This and the return of the derby games certainly get the old juices flowing.

What are you looking forward to most this season?

New men
Simon Mignolet, who I don’t know too much about, seems a decent young ‘keeper to challenge Craig Gordon. Cristian Riveros, having watched him for Paraguay in the World Cup looks like a really good signing to keep things competitive in midfield. Our first ever Egyptian, Ahmed Al-Muhammadi will certainly give us some much needed pace on the right.

What do you think of our first three new signings?

Bents goals, Brucey’s touchline dancing, Joneseys somersaults, Malbranques skill, new players, visiting the SoL…

I’m hungry again..

Bring on the Season!!

I am happy with the signings and also excited by the rumours of Westermann, Nzogbia and Gyan so things are looking good for next season.
