A tricky away tie at high flying league one side Brentford is what awaits Sunderland after the FA Cup 4th round draw was made today. The draw also saw holders Arsenal given a tough away tie at Bolton and league champions Chelsea pitted against the winners of the replayed match between Millwall and Everton.

After a comfortable victory at home to non-league side Northwich Victoria in the 3rd round, Sunderland are sure to find the trip to Griffin Park a tougher task. Brentford are 3rd in league one and are chasing automatic promotion to the Championship. They progressed from the 3rd round by beating Stockport 3-2 in a thriller at Edgeley Park.

Nonetheless Mick McCarthy will be relieved to have missed out on drawing a Premiership team and will be confident enough of overcoming league one opposition to progress into the 5th round.
