Bramble Faces Months Out

Titus Bramble may miss up to 8 weeks of the season after picking up a knee injury in training over the weekend.

Bramble, who has arguably been Sunderland’s best player this season has damaged the meniscus in his knee and could face an operation which will keep him out for a lengthy spell. He has a second scan on the injury today.

The defender was missed in last nights 2-2 draw with Everton at the SoL, replaced by Anton Ferdinand.

Asamoah Gyan also missed the game last night with a thigh injury but is expected to recover quickly.
