Sunderland may have lost money when they sold midfielder Alfred N`Diaye in the summer, but they have just had a bonus of £350,000 from the sale.

N`Diaye moved to Real Betis in August, the deal could have brought Sunderland a potential £1 million in payments, but there was a clause written in his sale that should Betis gain promotion back to La Liga, then the Spanish outfit would have to give Sunderland a further cash sum, that will now be triggered as the club won the second division title.

N`Diaye originally cost Sunderland more than £3 million when he joined the club from Bursaspor at the start of 2013.
