Sunderland target Paulo Da Silva has been approached by an eleventh hour bid from another Premier League club, despite rumours that he had already agreed a move to Sunderland.
The player was believed to be arriving in England this week to finalise the deal, but has revealed there has been interest from an un-named English club.
The 29-year-old said: ‘I have been offered a three-year contract with a team you already know about – Sunderland – but I’m now waiting an on offer from another English team,’ said Da Silva.
‘I’m sure in the next few days I will know who I’m going to sign for.
‘I have to stop off in Paraguay to solve some visa problems, then I will meet with people in England to see what is the best thing for me.’
