Sunderland manager Sam Allardyce wants to see his side produce more goals if they are to stand anything like a realistic chance of escaping the drop.

Sunderland take on Crystal Palace on Tuesday and Big Sam wants to see his players stamp their authority and produce chances as well as finish them.

The Black Cats had a number of chances against West Ham on Saturday but they were wasted and they ended up losing.

And its getting very urgent that his side start the scoring now as games run out.

Allardyce told Sky Sports News ‘It’s a concern to say the least, because all the chances are there and zero goals.

‘It’s a little bit similar to [Sunderland’s 1-0 defeat to] Man City [on February 2] – all of the chances, and zero goals again.’

He continued: ‘I’m very concerned about the games running out and these things keep happening to us, when we’re in good, dominant positions and creating chances. We’re playing better than the opposition, but failing to get anything.’
