The game started as expected with Arsenal nearly scoring within 2 minutes thankfully Adebayor`s shot was wide.
We then went on to concede a free kick on the edge of the box in which Van Persie struck with power and accuracy leaving Gordon no chance.
About five minutes later and Arsenal are two goals up.
Jones made a hash of his clearance that allowed Adebayor to pick up the loose ball just inside the box to cross for Senderos.
It was starting to look like it would be a very long afternoon.
Sunderland then managed to score their first goal at the Emirates and we started to settle in to the game.
The goal totally against the run of play started with an excellent long ball from Yorke to Jones.
Almunia blocked the shot from Jones but had no chance when Wallace buried the rebound.
Sunderland then managed to level the score Miller`s pin point cross found Jones who was too strong for the Arsenal defenders.
Arsenal then managed to score a goal in the last ten minutes Van Persie slotting home Walcott`s cross.

Match comment
The excellent comeback deserved at least a point but you can`t grumble when you conceded two goals so early. I think we came out with a lot of credit when nobody expected us to get anything out of the game.

I have heard you being praised for your character and spirit against us but I think this short changes you somewhat. You had a bit more about you than many teams that come to the Emirates and didn’t rely on out muscling us or over use of the long ball. You came to give us a game. You didn’t get any points thankfully but you earned a lot of credit. You should be able to pick enough points up elsewhere.
bad luck but to score 2 v arse is good BUT DID YOU ALSO HEAR THAT QPR FINALLY WON A GAME THEY BEAT NORWICH 1-0 come on you r’ssssssssssssss
this bloke is sending the same message every where
