Sunderland manager Dick Advocaat has no intention of moving away from Sunderland any time in the near future.

Sunderland manager Dick Advocaat has no intention of moving away from Sunderland any time in the near future and insists that he is here to see that the Black Cats stay in the Premier League.

The Dutchman already prevented Sunderland from going down last term and as a result took a one year deal to stay at the club, but just for the one season.

However, Sky Sports reports that a bad start to the new campaign and disappointment on the transfer front so far has caused rumours of Advocaat walking out on the club, in fact he is the bookies favourite to be the next managers to leave his post one way or another.

But the boss has been quoted by several newspapers speaking at a press conference ahead of the game at Villa Park on Saturday: ‘I never said that I will quit this club. I hope I can stay until the end of the season.

‘Honestly. This is a great club, I really mean that. I have been at many great clubs but this is a really special one.’
