Sunderland have only 21 points left to play for in this year’s battle in the Premier League.

With the games dwindling down now at the real business end of the campaign as Sunderland find themselves heading towards the end of May, sitting in 20th place in the Premier League table and being ten points from safety – well it’s largely looking like Sunderland’s luck at avoiding the relegation drop to the Championship has been pushed one season too far.

There are however points available from the run in if we can quickly return to winning ways and we do have a game in hand on Swansea City in 18th spot which may or may not be crucial now.

With so few games remaining in the season though, David Moyes needs a turn in form and to get points on the board as we are nearing the mathematical drop point.
